Oregon Students Secure Mental Health Days
Oregon will allow students to take "mental health days" just as they would sick days, thanks to a new law high school students championed across the state. It's not coddling. The students behind the measure say it's meant to change the stigma around mental health in a state that has some of the highest suicide rates in the US. Mental health experts say it is one of the first state laws to explicitly instruct schools to treat mental health and physical health equally, and it comes at a time when educators are increasingly considering the emotional health of students. Utah passed a similar law last yearhttps://www.insider.com/oregon-students-mental-health-days-2019-7

How to make hard choices
Here's a talk that could literally change your life. Which career should I pursue? Should I break up — or get married?! Where should I live? Big decisions like these can be agonizingly difficult. But that's because we think about them the wrong way, says philosopher Ruth Chang. She offers a powerful new framework for shaping who we truly are.
This Millionaire Buried Treasure in the Mountains
Somewhere in the Rockies, in the roughly 1,000 miles between Santa Fe, New Mexico, and the Canadian border, may be a treasure chest worth millions. The man who claims to have hidden the fortune back in 2010 is Forrest Fenn, now 87, a former Vietnam fighter pilot and art dealer. Fenn estimates that as many as 350,000 people have gone hunting for the treasure, he tells CNBC Make It, adding that there is no way of knowing whether anyone has actually gotten close. "It could be found soon or 1,000 years from now," he says. "No one knows where that treasure chest is but me," Fenn told NPR in 2016. That includes his wife. "If I die tomorrow, the knowledge of that location goes in the coffin with me."https://www.cnbc.com/2018/04/17/millionaire-forrest-fenn-hid-treasure-in-the-rockies-and-left-a-clue.html
