Entrepreneurs are often perceived to be bold risk-takers and inventive. Do you think it takes a certain personality to succeed as an entrepreneur and if that personality can be moulded over time?

It's born. Not everyone has the ability to be innovative and see what would make it and what won't.

Well, if you aren't born with it, you just gotta be passionate about it, believe in your idea and never give up

Entrepreneurs are not born. Entrepreneurs are not like athletes, they don’t need natural inherent body and muscles.

Right.  The main quality of entrepreneurship is innovation, which is not obtained naturally. Innovation is a new product, a new technology, a new source, and a new market

For me, it's partly born.  Genes can definitely influence your probability of starting a business.

Oh and I know for a fact that  your ability to identify business opportunities is heritable, it is in the genes.

They're born, just like everyone else (I don't think scientists can make them in a lab, yet), and then they are made as a product of their environment. As with most things, I don't believe there is a single factor that accounts for 100% of an attribute, but rather the right combination of the two (or three, or four...) components.

Entrepreneurs have the ability to deal with uncertainty, to take risks and tolerate ambiguity; not everyone has those.

Being an entrepreneur means you rely on yourself and no one else. At the end of the day, you need to be 100% comfortable with making the final call, being able to trust yourself and your intuition.

I’m not sure this is the case. The best entrepreneurs I know pull together the right people to tackle the problem they have identified and support them to achieve their vision. I would look at Elon Musk as a very famous example. I don’t think he only relies only on himself to build a rocket to mars. I do agree that making decisions is important, but intuition is normally experience and sought out knowledge in disguise. Otherwise you’re just gambling with an idea and this is why a lot of entrepreneurs fail.
