I agree. Also, it will be harder to hide dirty money if the charities are smaller.

No matter how small or big the charity organizations, the result will mainly depend on the people inside of it.

The problem in some charities nowadays is that they are being used to get money for personal gains.

How do we measure effectiveness? I think that we measure it through the results, right? Well, I think that local charities are doing fine.

I am for local charities as well. It has lesser chance of my money being used to fund some big shot CEO.

Local charities lack funding. The big charities get lots of donations and they can help more people.

I can see where my money is going when I donate to our local church so that is what I prefer to do.

You can walk in and see their facilities if they're local. When the charity is based in your community, you can reach out and see the work they are doing.
