China's hidden detention camps

China appears to have set up a series of secret internment camps used to lock up hundreds of thousands of ethnic Chinese Muslims, whose existence has long been denied by authorities, a new BBC investigation has revealed. Describing the issue as “one of the most pressing human rights concerns of our age”, the broadcaster claims analysis of satellite imagery has identified many “large prison-type structures that have been built across Xinjiang in the past few years”.

It says they are “exclusively for Xinjiang's Muslim minorities, many of whom do not speak Chinese as their mother tongue”.

One facility outside Dabancheng, an hour's drive from the provincial capital, Urumqi, has an estimated capacity of 130,000 people, according to GMV, a multinational aerospace company with experience of monitoring infrastructure from space. http://www.theweek.co.uk/97335/china-s-secret-muslim-internment-camps-revealed

On 12 July 2015 a satellite swung over the rolling deserts and oasis cities of China's vast far west.

One of the images it captured that day just shows a patch of empty, untouched, ashen-grey sand.

It seems an unlikely place to start an investigation into one of the most pressing human rights concerns of our age.

But less than three years later, on 22 April 2018, a satellite photo of that same piece of desert showed something new.

A massive, highly secure compound had materialised.

It is enclosed with a 2km-long exterior wall punctuated by 16 guard towers

I can't believe this is going on today given World History. This reminds me of Nazi Germany.

The Islam religion is spreading throughout this world. Do not try to suppress it from spreading. The more you try to suppress it, the more it will bounce back.

If this is really true then all freedom loving people must protest as I don't care what religion they are no human should be treated like this. Evil flourishes when good people turn a blind eye to it! Next time you're buying an item look where it's made, if it's in China or another 'human rights' abusing country then you have a decision to make - to buy or not to buy, your choice! It's called people power and it's the only thing governments and big business take any notice of.
