A recent report from Atlassian titled, State of Diversity and Inclusion in US Tech, states that promoting diversity and inclusion of women and other diverse group in the tech industry has shown to be resistant.

Atlassian commissioned report this year which surveyed 1500 workers in the US and 400 tech workers in Silicon Valley. The results shows that the respondents are aware of the significance of diversity and inclusions but are disappointed by the lack of results despite constant promises and push towards diversity and inclusions.

The report also noted that there’s an obvious misunderstanding about diversity that’s prevalent in the industry. People still stand firm that they do not discriminate base on gender, colour or race but hire base on skills and merit.
