I'm interested in meaningful discussion

I have transitioned from years of being in the accounting and finance sector to realising my true calling as a Teacher, Energy Healer and Intuitive. My interest in Energy Healing began when I was a Level Two Practitioner of Usui Reiki. I have an intense interest in Spirituality as it co-mingles with the Sciences, as well as, investigated many energy healing modalities, integrating all these into her own heart based practice.

Has technology made us lazy?

I wouldn't call it lazy. We're just making the most of what we have. There's nothing wrong with that, right? winking face with tongue

I am a preschool teacher and I absolutely believe that kids should always be supervise whenever they are using the internet. They are not yet mentally and psychologically ready for the wealth of possibilities that's available to them.

I agree! I believe it only seems 'lazy' because we don't work as hard as people did back in the old days. Other people see efficiency as taking the shortcut.

To some degree. It makes us not want to put in the effort.

Everything seems to be moving so much more quickly nowadays. Why throw a grilled cheese sandwich on an actual grill when you can just toss it into an automatic sandwich maker?! Why have mom over to show off your new apartment when you can just pop into FaceTime for a quick video chat?!

Technology has made us lazy. In the 21st century, technology has evolved to accommodate a more convenient lifestyle and meet every need that we could possibly need. With the right tech in your home, you might not ever need to leave your bed!

Being able to do work faster and more efficiently because I have so much technology in my hands is not something I ignore or easily forget. When I'm able to do work on a computer I move faster and feel like I can accomplish even more by being able to be more productive in a shorter time.

I have any information I could ever need at the touch of a finger, and I can spend less time clarifying and researching facts, and more time learning new things that are interesting and unique to me. Honestly, I work just as hard at school and at my job despite my cell phone use on breaks and free time! Technology has not made me lazy at all!

In a way yes. But I think it depends on the person and the technology he is using. We all know that there are advantages and disadvantages that come with technology.

No, technology has made some people obsolete. People like librarians, travel agents, video store owners and the like.
