"Rediscover your love for your job with these strategies: 1. Define success on your own terms.
2. Customize your job into one that works for you.
3. Thank one of your co-workers every day. 4. Connect to your own meaning. 5. Try to keep your mind from wandering. 6. Expand your circle. 7. Remember, your job isn’t everything."

I have been in this job for more than 10 years and it doesn't make me happy but it doesn't make me want to kill myself either but I am happy that because of the job I have, I can spoil my family.

I don't think it's ever possible to be happier at work because by nature, work is not supposed to be enjoyable.

# 2 is a given and applicable in most things. You are the master of your life, what you do will have a big impact on how happy or sad you'll be. Make changes to things that make you unhappy since no one will make them for you.

Defining your own meaning of success is very good since only you can define your happiness. You just have to make sure that your definition of success is not overwhelming or underwhelming, a good balance is a must.

I noticed that when I compliment or say good things to my office mates, I feel lighter. Even if it is just little things, the mood is lighter and everyone has more positive vibe, thereby making the workplace much better to be in .

Get some fresh air. Every morning I go for a brisk walk. Rain or shine, I get out there before the day gets going. It’s probably one of my habits to help me deal with daily work stress. And there’s research to back this up: just 20 minutes of fresh air has been found to boost happiness and feelings of well-being.

I don't know how I can do tip # 3 when the number one cause of me not being happy at work is my co-workers. They are just not very efficient, so I end up doing most of the workload.

I always have something happening after work, whether it's the gym or hanging out with friends, or even work mates. It sets my mood for the day.

Helping others makes you happier. And helping your colleagues makes you happier at work. You don’t have to do anything huge or heroic to help. Grab your colleague’s favorite beverage when you get your coffee. Ask if they need help on a project. Offer to do something simple, like type up notes after a meeting.

Expect less and work more, you'll be happier.

You can be happy at work by being more accepting of the things you can't accept. There will be assholes at work, the boss will piss you off from time to time. Once you've accepted this and the fact that there's no perfect company, you'd come to appreciate it for what it is and finally be happy.

I agree, if you don't have a high expectation then you won't be disappointed. If you are not disappointed, you'll enjoy what you have for what it is.
