If you are owed money in the course of a business transaction, ask for it as soon as possible. Waiting on the debt will only make it harder to collect.

You have to remind them to pay you back. If you feel that they already forgotten about it just simply tell them that you need your money.

Make sure that the debtor is aware that their debt hasn’t been paid. Sometimes people just forget, and a friendly reminder is all they need.

Luckily, I don't have to remind anyone about their debts. They pay as promised.

By offering the person to pay back money in instalments.

In my opinion, before you lend someone a money, make sure that he is aware that it is a loan. Some friends may consider it as a help and that you don't intend them to return it.

I usually don't expect to get paid back when I lend money hence I only lend what I can afford to lose.

I just have to ask them nicely to pay it back because I need it too.

Dude, remember the money you owe me? Can I get it now? I am having a rough day.

I'd ask nicely the first few times but then I might start hunting them down if they refuse to pay me. LOL!

The person who owes you money has broken his/her word. They’ve broken a boundary – not you. Don’t worry about being nice. Don’t worry about what they think or say about you.

It is really hard for me to ask them to pay me back. The good thing about it if they will not pay me, they cannot borrow again from me.
