Don't be afraid to take risk. You only fail when you don't try.

I started my business 20 years ago with only $500 to my name. I worked hard , made some sacrifices and it's a good thing that everything paid off. My small garage business is now worth over $2 million and I employ over 250 employees. I strongly believe that your network is your net worth - which is why I always associate myself with people who will push me to greater heights. I also believe in paving the way for others and in mentorship opportunities, so I always look to hire hardworking and dedicated individuals.

How do you manage money-related anxiety?

Revisit your budget frequently since expenses can fluctuate month to month, especially as you start to reduce your expenses and free up extra money for savings!

I focus on calming myself in the moment so I can relax and think logically about the situation. Panicking will only make it worse so I avoid it as much as I can.

I don't want to put too much pressure on myself when it comes to money. I am practicing not to worry about money and the future. I do have savings but I know it will never be enough for my future yet.

My wife and I discuss this on a regular basis. We revisit our financials and make sure that we have short term and long term goals. That way, when a situation occurs, we aren't as stressed.

If saving 10% just isn’t possible right now, start small and build up from there. Have your paycheck send 1% of the money directly into savings each month and then six months from now, bump it up to 2% — and continue doing that 1% increase every six months.

Making better choices about money can lead to less anxiety and more freedom when it comes to our overall livelihood and well-being, in addition to more peace of mind in the way we think about money.

My family is bad at handling our own financials so we asked the help of a dear friend, best decision we made.

Check to make sure you’re in the black each month since going into debt is generally the greatest cause of stress. If I find yourself in the red more months than not, it’s time to rethink your money-making or spending strategy.
