I like sharing tips with my fellow parents so they'll learn about different strategies in handling children.

I want to share tips and strategies to parents out there who need advice on dealing with children. I like looking for sources that can make life easier for parents.

The mental health and depression may have something to do with the way small babies are being cared for. How many babies in the US are forced to spend most of their time away from their moms, sleeping in a separate room, not being picked up and calmed by holding when they cry... how many are forced to be separated from their moms too soon because mothers could not afford to stay at home with them for more than couple of weeks or months... and what about the constant need of the families to move from place to place, having relatives living far away in different states, looking for new friends over and over again... the way society is set up gives the baby a feeling of insecurity and stress from the time he is born and continues to do so up to is adulthood. It is sure good for the economy, but not good for the children. If the american society somehow doesn't stop this wheel spinning and rediscovers what is healthy and natural, the mental health will continue to decline.

My kids are homeschooled. They are not depressed or exam obsessed. They can write cursive though!

I was born in 1992, grew up watching a lot of tv, nowadays the tv sits untouched for the most part, unless we hook it up to a computer or something else and watch whatever we feel like. I think my attention span is pretty ok, and I make it a point to not check my phone when I'm sitting down with a friend or bring the phone with me to the bathroom. It's interesting to see how many people in e.g. public transit use their devices to create their own little do-not-disturb bubble while traveling, I'm usually one of very few if not the only one just looking around. I don't fault people for wanting to entertain themselves on public transit, but I do think it's too bad that many people nowadays give their chat messages priority over the here and now while they're face-to-face with others. All the usual stuff aside, I'm curious to see how the next generation will grow up to be, let's hope that we can all do relatively well in life despite our shortcomings and with the help of our individual strengths.

We can also include the millennials. I’m totally depressed for my econometrics exam

I always thought it was weird how the generation age groups got shorter and shorter after the boomers. And the only thing separating the later 3 generations is where they were during the internet boom and the birth of social media.

Too much information with too little time to process it: A problem ALL generations share.

I'm a Millennial and I'm blown away by how cool and confident so much of Gen Z is. When I was 15 I could barely put an outfit together and my self-esteem was in the dumpster. They are also a lot more socially aware at a younger age surely due to the internet. I think Millennials shouldn't fall into the cycle of the older generation hating the next. We can learn a lot from them and I think despite some of them doing stupid things like the Tidepods they have a good head on their shoulders.

Yeah, climate change threatens to endanger our lives as we know it, our world leaders do anything but lead, the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer, but let's blame social media for anxiety and depression...

The mental health of generation Z is heavily influenced by social media. The generation has also been prescribed more drugs for anxiety and depression, as well as behavioral and attention disorders. I believe this can be effecting the mental health of developing brains. No one seems to talk about that though. Physicians just writing more prescriptions.

Remember you’re not a burden. You’re not worthless. The Almighty made you and you’ve every right to be here. Don’t ever feel that the world would be better off without you. Everyone struggles. Everyone falls apart at some stage. Do your best and leave the rest to Him.
