Obviously, it's long term investments. Short term investments do not pay that well so you are better off with long term investments - at least 5 years.

I agree but not all long term investments are created equal. It's important to diversify though so it's nice to have short term investments as well.

I prefer short-term investments. That way I can use the money for other opportunities.

I never know what will happen tomorrow so I hesitate to make long term investments.

I have regretted so many investments that I sold too soon!!! Always hold out especially if you don't need the money yet.

I have short and long term investments. I prefer to diversify my investments because I am a risk taker.

I prefer long term investments too. I'll be needing the profits of my investments years from now so I can proceed on my plan on having my own business.

I agree with you Sandy, through a short term investment, we can use the money on the right place.

When investing long-term, you are able to be more aggressive, so you could opt to invest in an aggressive mutual fund to get the highest rate of return.

You should have both. You'll never know if you'll need money for emergencies.
