I think it is good for them as long as we parents are there to support them. It can teach them a lot of things.

They need to be competitive to get ahead in life. They can't be too laid back or else they'd go nowhere.

No, it is not. It makes kids always want to win instead of learning from the experience of the whole activity.

Competitions push them to be driven. If you want to succeed in life, you need to push yourself to be the best.

I think it is good, they can learn to accept and grow from failure from a young age and that is what builds successful people

It's not so much about competition, but rather, the lessons they gain from it. Experts say that if they operate in a competitive yet supportive environment, that can definitely assist in building their self-confidence

No. Kids should not be exposed to the harsh realities of life at such a young age, they must just enjoy being kids without constantly being pitted against each other

There always needs to be a clear distinction between healthy and unhealthy competition because the latter does more damage than good

Kids need to have competition but not too much. I wouldn't want him to think that everything is about winning.

It is good for them to be competitive and to develop their camaraderie. But we still have to guide them and make them realize that competing is about failing and winning at the same time.

Competition never been a good option between the kids because its demotivate them.
Specially when parents compare their performance with other kids and ask them to learn from them.
There should be some incentives for smart kids but there should not be a comparison at any stage.

Winning isn't everything. If they become too competitive, it can get to their head and that's not right.
