I think it depends on intention. Sometimes I can smoke and dwell in my soul, really opening to mantras, and kirtan, meditation. But also sometimes I find myself going into my ego, I believe its all about set and setting and intention.

Yes, intention is massive.
Weed is a tool that can help towards spiritual growth. However, in terms of vibration, we naturally, our higher selves, vibrate higher than that of what weed can offer. Weeds vibrations is that of acceptance, however, we can grow from acceptance to love, joy, and enlightenment.
It all depends on the individual and their state of being and perception. folded hands

Precisely!
I've decided to stop smoking because I feel like weed kind of extinguishes the natural fire in me. I have a lot more energy when I don't smoke. But I've got nothing against it

I resonate with your sentiment. I’m far more comfortable with myself and my surroundings when I’m sober.

Maybe you need a sativa... or smaller dose. Weed increases GABA
I smoked marijuana for 28 years every day. I recently quit though (3 months ago) because my transpersonal therapist said I needed to in order to truly heal. I want to truly heal but I miss it... I look forward to the day when I can smoke it and use it properly like my spiritual teacher says to connect with the divine. Yes I understand using it to escape is abusing it... I did that but I'm proud of me because I quit drinking too in October (I also did that every day for many years) and so now I gotta feel cigarettes are next addiction is rough but I think it has taught me many things and definitely discipline.

Stay sober man! Maybe sometime in the future you can smoke weed occasionally but you gotta let the cigarettes go.
