If you don't find a way to make money while you sleep, you will work until you die

Investment Director by profession, aspiring chef by passion. I’m also the lead manager on emerging market bond and currency, as well as hedge funding strategies. Initially, I started out as an acquisition of fixed income and foreign exchange specialist, which was when I started managing most of the funds I run to date. Prior to joining the corporate space, I was a lecturer but quickly realised that perhaps I don’t have the patience to deal with students on a daily basis. While I enjoyed the subject matter I was teaching, I found the lecturing somewhat confining and very restrictive. I hold an MSc in Economics in addition to being a CFA charterholder.

Everyone knows that LEGO is all about building things. It turns out their magic extends brick by brick to positive systemic change.

A few years ago, LEGO’s corporate side set an ambitious goal of making its production facilities run entirely on renewable energy with a plan of reaching those goals by 2022. That alone is a monumental effort worthy of praise.https://www.good.is/articles/lego-renewable-energy?fbclid=IwAR0MsIgwK9muVMFk9k7ZTpgkezkXpI3MZ6WyWk16EQIuaUle2qLd84Cj5mk

It's amazing that Lego is now 100% running entirely on renewable energy and they did that 3 years ahead of schedule. Impressive. That's for sure can have a positive impact on our environment.

They started making their botanical pieces out of a sustainable, plant-based plastic last year.

All they need to do next is start manufacturing the blocks from hemp instead of plastic.

That’s great, now they need to start a recycling program for all the Legos. What do you do with them once your kids are done with them?

We pass the sets down to other kids in the family. Got Lego from the 70s entertaining kids today still.

Keep them for their kids, once the time comes (what my parents are doing) or donate them to an orphanage or needy families.

Sell them online for a reasonable price. I'm always buying them used cause new can get expensive when multiple kids play with them. Oh and my kiddos school takes them for the STEM program kids. Individual areas may vary.

You never outgrow Lego; it just starts to require an occasional dusting. I've still got most of mine going back to the early '80s.

LEGO toys are the only toys that I know of that retain its value. People will pay a lot for used LEGOs. Also, many never outgrow them. I sold mine when I was about 12, and I have been collecting more ever since. Do a search for LEGO on e-Bay and you will be amazed at how much some parts are sold for.
