The parties are designed to remove shame around periods and to encourage girls to feel confident in their changing bodies. We love this idea...

How about ditch the stigma yes! But take your daughter out for a nice lunch or spa day instead and chance to talk about it instead of parading her around to the family!!

OMG! It’s meant to be a private matter! What stigma?

Personally I think a party is too much. I wouldn't want a party while on my period. When my daughter starts hers, I will make her up a period box. Full of chocolate, cosy Pjs and Face masks etc and obviously towels/tampons etc. We can then have a girly night and eat junk food and pamper ourselves. I think that would be more special than having a period party.

Some parents need to wise up. How embarrassing. No stigma. Just a private matter.

Is it just me or when the monthly time hits, all you want to do is morph into a human marshmallow via hordes of fluffy clothing and blankets and just really grieve for when times were better, you know, when this fresh hell wasn’t happening to me?

Better to have a party on the other end, once you have survived 40 years of having one!!

I can't imagine anything more embarrassing that celebrating starting your period party face with tears of joy face with tears of joy

Not sure about a party lol but I love the idea of ditching the stigma. It's a topic girls immediately shut down about and it shouldn't be :)

I would have hated this. Yes, it's a part of life. No you don't need to involve friends and family.

What stigma everyone knows girls have periods. It's not top secret & I think my daughters would die of embarrassment.

This world is getting more rediculous every single day. Does she automatically get a participation trophy too??
