OMAHA, Neb. — The current economic environment is one that no one could have seen coming, Warren Buffett said.

In an CNBC interview that aired Friday, Buffett noted that unemployment is at generation lows, yet inflation and interest rates are not rising. Because every central bank other than ours has virtual negative rates as a result of the Great Recession. The world economy isn’t great. And a lack of wage pressure due to the global nature of work / AI.

Not as much paper money circulating in the economy could be a factor is lower inflation. We do business differently than the 70’s when there was high inflation.

There is inflation. But the CPI does not capture many changes in price.

Yeah he’s right. This economy makes zero sense whatsoever. Can’t even compare it to historical data to make an educated prediction since these indicators are ALL over the place.
