Date someone because you already see a future, not because you want to see if you would work out

With over 15 years of experience and a passion and dedication to matchmaking, I have established myself as the go-to authority for helping singles find their true love. In my career, I have helped over 1 000 clients and continue to help couples build stronger and sustainable relationships. The thing is, when you know what you're doing, love isn't hard! I think it's crazy that we grow up never being taught how to date or find love. It's one of the most important things in life and most people are just left to work it out without any support. Big, amazing, head over heels love is available to everyone but so many people don't believe it! That's why I decided to go and train as a coach. I want to help people find the love they deserve. I want them to wake up every day with a person that adores them!

According to a pair of researchers investigating online dating, the way we’re looking for love (and lust) is connecting communities in completely novel ways, breaking down boundaries and possibly even making for stronger long-term relationships.

It wasn’t all that long ago that most relationships would begin with a smile and a handshake, rather than a click or a swipe.

Some of the more novel and conservative ways of finding love included meeting someone and asking them out on a date or to watch movie - nowadays though - social media has somewhat done away with that approach

Have you ever considered online dating and do you think there's any merit in it?

I've tried one of the free dating sites and it is filled with old men looking for young girls. Maybe the paid dating sites are different but I wouldn't want to spend money just to find a date.

Being in a conservative family, I have tried online dating to meet someone other than who my parents would want to set me up with. Haven't met someone who I would introduce to my parents but I like that there's this option nowadays.

Online dating is a trend now. People go on Tinder and have been swiping left and right to find their perfect partners. There are even sites for married couples who want hookups. The digital age has given people a lot of options.

I met my current boyfriend of two years on OKCupid and was immediately struck by the things we had in common. I asked him out quickly because I needed to get us out of the internet and into the world.

I guess with everything going digital, it's only a matter of time before this becomes the norm. It's hard because you don't know what's real.

I can never understand how you can build a relationship online. It all seems so fake.

Online dating puts you firmly in the driving seat when it comes to establishing a new relationship. You decide who you like and who you'd like to get in contact with.

The choices of partners can become confusing and overwhelming. Without a clear plan, online daters can get stuck endlessly"shopping" for the perfect partner, rather than actually starting a satisfying relationship.

Whatever dating site you use, you ‘meet’ someone and immediately start fantasizing about them, because it can be more fun than reality. I see people delaying meeting in person for as long as possible, although we know better.
