If the celeb really believes the cause then why not? Their presence would generate publicity for the charity.

Using their fame to spread awareness is actually good for celebs and the charities. That's good publicity!

Yes. It's the least they can do with all the money they have. Spare some time to bring attention to a cause.

It could be helpful. Celebrities can help expose the charity to a whole new market, one that isn't being reached by the charity's usual campaign.

Celebs donate a lot to these charities. Having their name attached to a charity can be good for their careers.

Using celebrities for publicity is good for them. Their charities will gain attention for different sectors.

Celebrities and charities should actually work together to get more funding. It'll be great for everyone.

Celebrities can be a pain too. They are expensive and they expect 5-star treatment. Small non-profit charities won't be able to afford them.
