Are you kidding me?! If an eight-year-old child is online, unsupervised, without safety guidance, then that seems like a recipe for disaster. And kids installing mobile apps without supervision...does that mean they know all about checking out the permissions that apps ask for and what is and is not acceptable?!

Absolutely not! No matter how much you trust your kids, you can't control the freaks that may get in touch with them.

There are so many sites that could corrupt children and teens now. Parents should monitor what their kids do online. You'll never know who they're chatting with and what the heck they're doing! Better be safe than sorry.

Every parent knows that family safety is a priority, but they may not understand just how dangerous the internet can be for young people. With a family tracker, it’s simple for parents to take control over what their child can see and do on the web, in order to keep them safe and protected.

IMO, the internet can be an excellent tool when used safely and appropriately. Unfortunately, there are very real risks and dangers on the web, so it’s up to parents to monitor and decide when giving kids and teens access to the web.

I think it depends on their age. Parents need to let go at some point and trust that they have taught their kids well. You can't hover over their shoulders forever. It’s not sustainable. Parents need to have a life too!

No of course if they are below 18.

I think it's better not to let your children access the internet without your supervision. They can access information that may not suitable for their age.

Yes but we can never stop being scared of their well-being. Not even when their 60!

You won't be able to supervise them 100% of the time! You have other responsibilities to attend to. I think it's why parental controls on gadgets are useful. It's like you're there when you're not.

I think it's up to the parents. If you believe your child is mature enough to handle the internet without supervision because we can't be there for them all of the time. we have our own lives to live.
