Should community service be required in schools?

It should be optional because some people go to outreach programs just because they're required. They really don't wanna help anyway.

I hope they don't require community service for kids. They won't be able to do much anyway.

People should just let kids be kids. They have so much on their plate already and you want to add social engagement to that.

I agree that schools should require the student to do a community service. This is not only to raise their awareness but also teach them how to be compassionate to others.
