They do donate to charities because they get tax deductions. The rich people start foundations to help the poor also.

If we hope the rich to donate to charity, our hair will be white waiting. It would be good if all corporations sponsor a charity though so these charities have less to think about.

We cannot forced anyone to give to charity. It should be given out of free will. Maybe passing a law about it is the best procedure that we should follow to make that happen.

It should not be mandatory.

I cannot say that I am rich but I have more than enough for myself and my family. I also donate money, support programs for the poor and the like.

Forcing them won't change a thing because they will do in their power to get back what have taken from them in any means.

We cannot forced them to do that. That is not the best way to acquire more money for the charity. We are all in abundance but we have a limiting belief that stopping us from getting more.

If there's a tax write off, I'm pretty sure the rich people would give to charity.

Of course not. It is THEIR money. They can choose to do with it however they wish. (without breaking laws of course) It is not for anyone but themselves to decide what they want to donate with their money.

The corporation yes, I believe they should give back. Now, as for the rich people, how do you quantify"rich"? I think it's subjective so it's not a fair request.

Bill Gates and Warren Buffett are huge contributors to charity. Bill Gates has also challenged the wealthiest men in the world to pledge half of their fortunes to charity. Bill and Melinda Gates have decided when they pass away 90% of their fortunes will be left to charity.

There are rich people who are helping their chosen charities and it is on their own accord. I don't think that others will do the same, they are greedy and giving is out of their minds.
