Kids would never appreciate cash at their age until when they are teenagers so probably no.

Their parents will keep the money if you give them cash so might as well give the kids something they can play with and really appreciate.

Sure, a reasonable amount though and see how they use it. It's good to train them from an early age

Nah, kids don't even understand the value of money and the work that went into earning every little rand. Save it rather

yes I agree with you kids don't have the knowledge about money so not giving cash is the best way instead of give gifts like toy cars.

According to me giving cash as a gift is nice thought and check that how they use it what will they do with money.

Kids would get to decide if they wanna spend or save it. It will get them thinking. It's not a huge amount so why not?

Cash gifts are convenient. I give them to my nephews and nieces all the time. At least they can buy what they want.

Yes. I do it sometimes with my nephews. They actually have their on savings in the bank. It's being practical and wise.

I think it's a good option when you are in a bind and don't have time to look around. The only thing is that you're not sure if the money will go directly to the kid or the parents might"re-appropriate" the money for themselves.

It's fine but I make sure that I buy them gifts more than giving them money.

When they are in their teens and know the value of money, yes. It will help them handle their money in the future.

Yes, you can but the parents need to guide the kids and what they spend it on.
