I diagnose the patient's ailment and immediately start treatment on them.

I strictly follow the Hippocratic oath. I explain to the patient and their family about their ailment and educate them about the line of treatment they are starting.

Wow wow wow. So many lives to be saved. So many beautiful people lost their lives to this awful disease. Thank you for the brilliant scientists and medical professionals out there.

That’s all very great news! One major concern less ! On the other hand (at some point in the future, when all this treatment will become widely accessible) it might ease the path for unprotected intercourse, increased fornication and possibly more uncontrolled births, especially in undeveloped countries.

...this isn't new information. We've known for years that Undetectable = Untransmittable. It's always nice to have another good study to further support things I suppose, but this is definitely not a new discovery at all!

This is obviously fabulous (albeit old) news for those with access to ART, but the idea it will irradiate HIV hinges on everyone having access to testing/universal health care/affordable drugs to ensure they can get to undetectable viral levels. The people for whom HIV is most likely to develop into AIDs usually don’t have that available to them.

Wonderful, but it will only work if the government funds it. For everyone who needs it. The gay community has been preventing HIV transmission for a few years now using PrEP that they have bought themselves online because the government wouldn’t fund it. I don’t see how this will be any different. Here’s hoping, though.

Great news for HIV... not so great for the spread of drug resistant gonorrhoea and syphilis that’s accompanying everyone bonking without protection!
