The Great Protein Myth

By host - harold.bynes
The protein myth perpetuates the belief that we need to consume animal products in order to build protein. Learn what protein is, what your body does with it, which proteins your body makes and which you need to eat, and how a plant-based diet provides all the protein you need without the added health risks of meat.

I want to see scientific research behind this, sounds way to motivated by social justice than science.

I don’t know what I would ever do with myself or how I would even live or take care of myself without all of these people with all of the answers to everything.

Protein intake depends on individual purposes. health or not.. weight loss, weight gain, muscle gain.. etc.. Animal protein is the simplest easiest way to gain the BCAA's you need for certain goals. Definitely agree with being skeptical bout the fads.. and do believe eating plants needs to be a big part of diet as well.. but the claim certain protein intake are myths is broad and falls short.

There are people who cannot digest legumes, beans, carbs etc. If physically hurts them. I try to stick with a meat and veggies. I think you should eat what your body needs and can handle. There is no one diet that fits everyone.

Aha the next one who tells us that eating meat is not necessary. I really can't hear it anymore. There is an old saying: have breakfast like a king, lunch like a farmer and supper like a homeless!!! That is when you stay healthy.

When I lost a toe, the area wouldn't heal. The doctors required me to be on red meat protein for months so I would heal. It love my meats but I couldn't eat any for a few months when finally healed, I had too much lol

Generally she is speaking about the USA and I have to admit theur food and eating habits are woeful. But in the end variety is the key and as for meat, a serving the size of your palm works for everybody

Physiologically we still are cavemen. We just haven’t evolved yet to completely remove meat from our diet. It’ll take millions of years on nature’s time, but that aside, I looooove meat curries.

Is there a paper or any scientific evidence to back your claim?

I eat meat because it's fucking delicious. You can laugh at me when I have my heart attack and die but I will never give up eating what ever the fuck I want.
