I'm interested in meaningful discussion
After a bunch of spiritual adventures, workshops, books, teachers, healers, and trial and error later... I started writing and blogging about my failed attempts at love, and people loved my authentic approach to story-telling and sharing my experiences about life and love. I now dedicate my time as an advisor and counsellor, working with couples to help them overcome the challenges in their relationships

Breaking up with your boyfriend or girlfriend or having a divorce with your spouse is a tough and painful process. And to be able to get through it, you have to be strong and have faith that you can do it. Forgiving yourself and your spouse is a must in the healing process. Stop looking back and just move forward.
Care to share your thoughts?

Divorce is like death, you must mourn, and heal accept the loss and move on never forget the good memories and try to overcome the bad ones.

But it's very difficult. One can not erase the memories I think. And it's my experience too.
My divorce, it was hard to do but now we’re civil with each other we have grandkids to share I forgave him but not forgot yes. You move on and it’s the best thing you will do. It gets better after a while.

I agree. I hope to reach that day when he can be civil to me. I try but I am over him after 20 years of being together.
I know I need time to forgive myself, forgive him, and redeem myself. I understand that I was whole when I met him. And now I am stronger and wiser I know God created me with gifts and abilities. I will continue to discover more about myself.
I wish people would learn that they are whole --as One human being --no one else completes you. They CAN complement you but YOU are whole alone!
Divorce is the death not only of the intentions of the past, but the plans/dreams of the future... it is followed by a period of readjustment as we plant the seeds of a new future... and it takes a while for the new ideas to become a reality, the new future to emerge.
Only God can heal broken hearts. folded hands
I went through a lot with a girl I wanted to marry, she cheated lied made me feel like I was at fault and I was doubting my self every step of the way. It took 3 years to get her and the pain that she caused behind me... but eventually it did. There was times of crying my self to sleep and drinking till I passed out, and trying to sleep with any woman I let my eyes on just to get her out of my Brain. But eventually I moved on, time is a healer and you just learn to cope and adapt to heartbreak

You hate and question yourself when the problem was the other party all along. I've been there too. Moving on is really a painful process that we have to get through but in the end real happiness is still waiting for us.
Very good advice. Be whole on your own, if you need to extract yourself. Take the time you need to heal your soul.
It's not a crime if you been on a relationship who did not work but you try several times. It's better divorce.
