If I had to choose between make-up and furniture, I'd definitely pick furniture!

I have been overseeing the furniture consulting team for more than ten years and have received numerous performance-based acknowledgements. I thoroughly enjoy working with my team and am constantly inspired by them and their never-ending creativity. From contemporary to traditional, I enjoy all aspects of the furniture and design world and believe I have a great sense of color, form and design trends. I take my design cues from my clients, bringing their personality to every project and their furniture and décor needs. I pay extra attention to details, fabrics, and finishes that reflect my client's vision. Naturally, interior design ties in quite closely with my job and some of the blogs and websites that inspire me are: http://www.hgtv.com/designers-portfolio/main/index.html http://www.housebeautiful.com/ http://www.southernliving.com/ http://pinterest.com/jerrykivitz/

Ever since he was a little boy, the Dalai Lama has had big shoes to fill. It’s difficult narrowing down the most important bits of wisdom from the spiritual leader over the years, but the three below really stand out.

1. Prioritize what is most important to you (you’re never too busy)
2. Love and kindness are more important than beliefs

Do you find it enlightening? Do you disagree? Are these the philosophies you live by?

These are crucial lessons but also the hardest to follow. These teachings are not new to anybody. We all know this. We just need to be reminded often.

I doubt that there is goodness in all people. All I ever see on the news are wars, killings and chaos. You can't blame people for not trusting anyone now.

If only people chose to practice these principles, the world would be a better place. If we treated people with love and kindness, that itself will make a huge difference.

I am always curious about how the Dalai Lama lives his life since he seems to be the epitome of calm and serenity. If you're like me, here's another interesting article to read up on - https://www.purposefairy.com/71916/23-life-changing-lessons-to-learn-from-dalai-lama/

I know what you mean but we can't really give up on humanity, right? We should still try to strive to be better.

True. I still have faith in humanity and that people just need a push to steer them in the right direction.

We often forget to prioritize ourselves because we are too busy with our family, jobs, etc. We forget that by prioritizing ourselves, we are actually making ourselves in better shape to do our job and help other people.

Chancing upon this is very timely. A friend actually has just confided in me about how heavy her heart feels because of being slighted by someone else. I'll see if I can make her try to see the goodness in others.

Dalai Lama is a well respected person. I find it hard to see the goodness in all people. I don't know how it's done. I can only go as far as calming down knowing that God will take care of the one who has wronged me.

Before anyone else, my responsibility is myself. So prioritizing what is important to me is a must. If I am happy and healthy, I am better able to take care of people around me.

Imagine love and kindness as the answer to everything. How nice of a world would that be, right? Caring for people, animals and environment would bring us back to the time when God created the world.
