Why do homeless people have to commit acts of bravery for something to be done about their plight?

Shows how poor police training is, when this guy has more awareness to adapt and use the trolley to try and stop the attacker.

He was the only one to rush in and try to help? Everyone else just stood around and watched?

I think so. Sad, right?

So a homeless person gets help only when he does a heroic act...?!

If that happened in the UK. The homeless man would have arrested , the homeless would have no benefits, the attacker , definitely would have benefits, home paid for. Probably got a car. If he was arrested , a psychiatric report would be asked for, and then a investigation costing a load more money for a theifing solicitor.

Well done to that homeless guy. Also well done to the government for rewarding him. smiling face with sunglasses Can you imagine being rewarded for doing something good in this country? In the UK we have to fail big time to get rewarded here.

Trolley Man was wanting to help the police and he did that in my view, he was willing to take a stand against a man with a knife who killed a person and was willing to kill more. Well done Trolley Man hope that the crowd funding gets you a safe place to live and give you a second chance of a new life off the streets. smiling face with smiling eyes

What a brave and a selfless act to do. He took the risk, had the presence of mind and courage and its wonderful that people helped him for his bravery and for setting a good example!
