Regardless of the rise in digital media, the experience of reading a printed book will never change

I am extremely passionate about helping business owners understand and leverage the power of social media to actually grow their businesses! We live in a digital age and everybody should tap into that space to effectively reach a much wider audience than they would through conventional media. I believe my ability to make social media marketing easy to understand and implement has directly impacted the bottom line of thousands of companies through my training and one-on-one consulting. In my spare time I always enjoy blogging and writing, which also acts as a creative outlet for me.

Vaginal mesh ban can be lifted with changes.

Some women have been left in permanent pain - unable to walk, work or have sex - after having the implants.

I had this done 11 years ago and it was one of the best things I have ever had done. Sorry for those who have not had the same experience.

My aunt has had this used in her and is in constant pain on a daily basis and the mesh has fused to her organs and internal walls so badly no one will operate on her cos they’ve said she won’t survive surgery! It needs to be completely banned from all operations. This day and age we can’t find an alternative it’s beyond

The alternative is an old fashioned operation called colpo suspension. It worked and didn't leave women with intractable pain.

Well, never thought I'd agree with Owen Smith on much but he's not wrong. This is appalling. A total disregard for the thousands of women who's lives have been put at risk. We have already lost multiple women to it, and are still at risk of losing thousands more to it. Lemme guess, is the board of health watchdogs made up of blokes?

Oh we FINALLY realise?????? My friend passed away due to complications with her mesh last May. Over a decade in pain, not being able to walk, sleep, enjoy her life. The doctors told her the pain wasn't real and gave her no answers because NO ONE wanted to admit that all her issues were caused by the mesh. Appalling.

What concerns me is the very people who happily used it are advising as to how to use it in future and they ignore the fact that the BSUG (the body which wishes to govern matters) failed over 6 years (2003-2009) to be able to carry out evidential research, so just kept on using the material knowing that the evidence was lacking.

I was offered surgery for a prolapse.....I said not because I had other things going on at that time....Im glad I did....but....Im now suffering from the prolapse and due to see a Gynaecoligist....I feel like Im in a catch 22....if they offer it me again my gut instict is to run for the hills but there doesn't seem to be any other alternative...unless I want to be in pain and have bowel issues for the rest of my life.

Nope nope and nope. I was suggested this surgery by my gynaecologist and after hearing the horror stories personally from other women I'd rather put up with the problems my pelvic organ prolapse cause me.

Diabolical. Mesh has severely affected my life for the past five years. The first three of which I spent on high doses of Pregabalin for extreme pain as they told me it was everything from stitch irritation to vulvodynia not related to the mesh. I then opted for partial removal and it was found that the mesh had been cutting through me and I needed a urethraplasty repair. Now I have developed dry mouth and am told it could be a systemic reaction to the mesh and I should get the rest removed. Loads of women developing autoimmune conditions after mesh implant. The risk of removal though is very high as it is like removing chewing gum from hair and all the nerves grow through the mesh. If my obtrurator nerve is damaged I could end up not being able to rotate my hip and end up walking with a waddle. If the pudendal nerve is damaged I could end up with problems with sitting, sex, pain etc. I have had three surgeries already as my implant was placed incorrectly in the first place. Thousands upon thousands of women affected worldwide and many deaths and still we have to carry on fighting to be heard. Money talks unfortunately

That looks painful and it looks like it would mesh in with flesh.. Like any device put in there.. Botox is also used for that !
