Though diversity is"trending" right now, Muslim Girl founder Amani wants industries to not just market to Muslim women but actually include them in the conversation. #MuslimWomensDay

I don’t support any religion. Muslim or Christian, both equally offensive to a person who wants to be kind and decent to other people.

Is there a push to portray Muslim women more"blending in"? I noticed that more of your featured speakers who are Muslim women do not don the easiest target of Islamophobia's attack on the street- the hijab. If you want to empower Muslim women, I'd argue that this is not the best approach to normalise differences, because it's often the hijab that Muslim women wear that quickly identify them as a Muslim and an easy target to abuse. Include Muslim women with or without the hijab in your videos, but when it comes to the Western world, if you wish to empower us, maybe follow your advice- and make it easier to pass the mic to the most vulnerable.

Whaaat?! Ask the target demographic for their opinion?! Who ever thought of such an idea? Doesn't sound like marketing at all, what with them telling their target demographic hoe to look and act.

Thank you for sharing this. It's so true that we don't hear from Muslim women often enough in conversations about Muslim women.

The two Muslim congress women are unfortunately engaged in discrimination themself through their antisemitic behaviour and rhetoric. And while Iranian women and Saudi women are fighting for their freedom it appears many American Muslim women are almost embracing the gender apartheid symbols of a radical Islam instead of fighting for their own libreration and redefinition of it. She doesn’t want to be perceived as being the other, but deliberately points it out through the very symbol of it in form of the apartheid promot head scarf that actually is not even demanded in the Koran. Meaning why do you embrace a cultural symbol of oppression in a free culture claiming not wanting to be the other but then caving into the very defining characteristics of gender oppression that your own Muslim sisters in oppressed regimes fight against, while putting their lives in danger. I don’t see this AMERICAN Muslim woman movement fighting for their imprioned sisters in Iran such as the human rights activist Nasrin Sotoudeh. Instead these American Muslim women liaise with women oppressing organisations such as the Muslim brotherhood... https://www.google.com/.../iran-sotoudeh.../index.html
