There is definitely a rise in the demand for e-commerce operation or elements in this digital age, with convenience for customers being the key reason. Some other benefits of using e-commerce solutions as a way of growing your business include: 1) You can operate 24/7 with people making purchases at any time from the comfort of their own homes 2) It increases your reach – as opposed to having only a physical store, through the internet, people from other parts of the world can have access to your products and services 3) An ecommerce site lets you scale your business accordingly, allowing you to add more lines, add more payment options and even grow when you choose to ship to, without having to worry about changing your location or moving to a larger premises

I can vouch for convenience being the main reason I choose to shop online. Thank goodness for e-commerce because I really cannot stand the thought of having to wait in various queues just to buy a few items.
Any and every business can benefit from e-commerce simply because it allows you to reach more people without any geographical limitations. Literally anyone can have access to your services and offerings without having to come to you personally
E-commerce was my saving grace! When I started my clothing boutique, I couldn’t afford to rent or purchase premises to operate from so I took it online – set up an e-commerce site and cut costs in that way. My business has grown rapidly since with customers from around the country having access to my clothing
In general, an e-commerce store really does have lower operational costs and you save on so many overhead expenses
It's where retail is heading so you should hop on the bandwagon. Those who don't have an online store will not survive.
Ecommerce is an ideal way you can take your brand from a traditional brick and mortar store to an innovative, well loved brand. By offering great products 24 hours a day along with online customer service, blogs and social media, it allows you to fully expand your product ranges without having to worry about moving locations or worrying about not being able to expand your business.
An online store is available all day, every day meaning your customers can visit your store at all times, no matter what their schedule might be. If your business can offer this for your customers there’s no reason why you shouldn't appeal to a wider range of customers all looking for a convenient and flexible experience.
In this digital age that we live in, if customers are happy with your products, social sharing makes it easy for them to share their satisfaction with friends and family. This functions in the same way as word-of-mouth does for physical stores, but with the internet, consumers can provide a direct link to the product on your site. Now other consumers know exactly which product their friend love and exactly where to find it.
Consider this, If your site is optimized properly, you can reach loads of new customers via their search queries on engines. The more optimized your site is, the higher up in the results it will display and the more new customers you can attract!

Agreed, Online retailers have greater visibility to a wider audience. Whereas a physical store may only be known to passersby, an e-commerce store can be accessed and viewed by an unbounded number of internet users

The change in shopping behavior from in-store to online has made the e-commerce industry more competitive. It's important to remember that running a successful e-commerce business nowadays requires more than just the launch of the site. An intricate digital marketing plan is necessary to ensure that you are maximizing your exposure and capturing all of your potential customers out there.
Various social media platforms can also be an extension of your online advertising strategy as it’s a great place to build trust with your fans and create a community where people can get together and discuss your offerings. It's important to build a relationship with your fans before trying to sell them. You want to give people a reason to find value in becoming your fan and entice them to like your page first, then build trust on the value that you can provide them.
As someone who sees merit in e-commerce, I have found that it's a great way to keep an eye on competitors. If all of my competitors are offering a 20% off discount for Valentine's Day for example, I make sure I offer something equally great or better otherwise I will be at a huge disadvantage. It’s important to have a good gauge on what other companies in your industry are offering to get a competitive advantage.
