Do you want to live with peace and happiness? Have you been trying positive thinking in order to make you happy? Positive thinking is certainly more enjoyable than negative thinking. But, the idea that something is"positive" is just a concept. The concept of positive can't exist without the concept of negative. Therefore, as long as you think one thing is positive, then you will think that the opposite is negative.

Are you a positive thinker? Do you agree that positive thinking can't make you happy?

I've noticed people who self-identify as"positive thinkers" are judgmental. Or maybe I'm judgmental for calling them judgmental...whatever.

This video rightly explains that it is impossible to think positively all the time. Trying to think positive all the time is like using a white pen on white paper. It does not deliver any kind of picture you can see. It's actually the dark lines that create the picture.

I understand your point but doesn't seeing everything so objective create a monochromatic life? You have to feel the bad to feel the good, you need contrast. The more things hurt that just makes it all that much more possible to feel amazing.

If we don't strive towards everything i.e. lose attachment to dreaming or wanting to obtain situations or status (relationships, promotions) how do we ever move forward? how can you be motivated? What motivates you?

Makes sense - but lots of these judgements, beliefs about what is good or bad, etc. are entirely subconscious. Is the only way of finding peace is by achieving everything that is good by struggling so hard, only to realize it doesn’t give you peace?

Negative thoughts can be helpful too if we approach them constructively. Worries can point us to the risks we need to take care of.
