LGBT activist and event organizer Daniel Vais says he now plans to take Drag Syndrome to a global audience, having had numerous clubs across the world already making offers to host the night.
What are your thoughts on the matter, does this imply that the world is becoming more and more progressive?

You guys DO realise people with Down Syndrome aren’t actually stupid? They have agency & can make their own choices; they have feelings & can express themselves any way they like.
This is awesome! Where being different is celebrated! Those out there who don’t get it, probably never will... Well done!

Exactly! Problem is so many 'normal' people just do not understand that being born with the extra chromosome doesn't make people NOT be intelligent or have a wonderful sense of humor.
Stuff what anybody thinks. If it feels good and it isn't harming ANYONE... do it! Have fun!
I love that they are expressing themselves, and doing their own thing. So what if they have downs, it's no different than any other drag queen, good for them
I’m glad that they live in a democracy where young folks can have fun and be supported when they’re having a good time
All people have a right to express themselves anyway they want!! It is social control, bullying and shaming to restrict any person, their human expression. Big deal ! Wigs, make up , high heels........ There are worse things these men could be doing like restricting themselves to the disability label.
Learn to be respectful
Learn to be kind
Learn to see past your own ignorance.
Learn something about people with down syndrome.
Learn that these amazing people have strong personalities and are more than capable of understanding what they are doing.
Don't assume for a second that because a person with down syndrome is classed as having a learning difficulty that they are unaware of what they are doing.
To be quite honest, people choose to be drag queens and clearly love doing it. As a drag queen myself I say go for it girls and have the time of your lives doing it cos it’s so much fun.
Fabulous!
Living & Loving Life in Art ,
Wouldn’t the world be better if we all wore glitter!
Great to see people celebrating!
I’m all for everyone being able to do what makes them happy but really maybe someone could show them how to properly apply makeup before calling them professionals.

Dear Drag performers,

Carry right on being your glittery selves. YOU get to define your place in the World on YOUR terms. You get to change that over time whenever YOU choose and for whatever reason YOU decide.
